Drawings of carefully observed natural phenomena river rapids, cloudscapes (outside) and human viscera (inside) are made ambiguous by reorientation of the point of view and selective editing of the image, disconnecting the information from the original context. I revisited this idea in 2012/13, fusing the human elements with the landscape and making the imagery less ambiguous. I also drew back into "Inside #1", literally tying the work from 1996 to the work of 2013.
