Collaborations with Laura Cooper

Collaborative artworks that combine drawings and photographs, printed on cotton and silk, with large fabric scrims that are traversed by sewn maps of roads, freeways, hills, train tracks and waterways. Plant material and fragments from the region referenced are suspended by thread. The resulting highly textured artwork is equal parts abstraction, photograph, drawing, homespun craft, and assemblage.
